The compact Sound Bar encases left and right speakers, as well as a subwoofer, in one clean unit for 32 watts of total power output (5W x 2, plus 22W subwoofer). Sharp HTSB300 2.1 Sound Bar

The Sharp Sound Bar simulates a surround sound effect without the bulk of adding a full speaker set.
Sharp HTSB200 2.1 Sound Bar

The HTSB300 adds digital audio decoding with DTS, Dolby Digital and Dolby Pro logic II decoder, as well as Dolby Virtual Speaker to effectively simulate 5.1 channel surround sound. Dolby Virtual Speaker simulates a realistic 5.1-speaker surround sound environment without placing speakers in every corner of a room, helping transform your living room or bedroom into a surround-sound theater without stringing speaker wire throughout the room.

The Sound Bar also offers advanced HDSS (high-definition sound standard) sound technology and SRS WOW HD Sound for a more natural listening experience and a deeper, more natural bass response. It also features adjustable Bass, Treble and Sub level options for a unique surround sound effect without rear channel speakers.

For flexibility and simple setup, the Sound Bar offers dual audio inputs (right and left RCA jacks) and a 3.5mm sub mini jack, which allows for a second audio source such as an MP3 player. The HT-SB300 also adds a subwoofer output jack.

  • The sound is an improvement over the speakers in the TV, however, Sharp seemed to be more interested in making a subwoofer than a speaker system. With the woofer turned completly down, the sound is still changed and does not sound crisp and life like. Maybe it is because I have it mounted on the wall under the TV then, maybe not.

  • This unit was easy to install but its sound performance was marginal. There was very little difference between using Panasonic television”s audio and using the Sharp HTSB300 2.1,

  • I bought this unit in December of 2009 because I simply couldn’t get enough sound out of my 37″ Aquos TV. It has worked wonderfully. It delivers a much larger sound which allows me to hear it without difficulty (and without a personal amplifier in most cases). The small remote that comes with it has been quite handy; I use it most of the time instead of the large remote that came with the TV. I love my Aquos TV and the soundbar made the deal complete for me. Installation was a snap; no problems from either unit. Highly recommended.

  • I checked around and this Sharp Sound Bar seems to be one of the best on the market. It does what it says it does. I have the same feelings as the other reviewers. Don’t look for blow away sound just a sound “enhancement” and with that in mind you should feel like you got a pretty good deal. The only issue I have is that the Sound Bar remote is not compatible with my TV and I have to use the Sound Bar remote to turn down the volume. That is a bit of a pain when those LOUD commericals come calling!!
