needs more audio inputs. had to return to amazon, because I found same item at Best Buy $100 less. Of course Amazon charged a 20% restocking fee and would not price match.

Got this for my 52″ Samsung LCD, and I aggree with the other reviewer, the TV-speaker disabling feature and the “not available” message every time you adjust volume is anoying. It can be solved though, separate sound and video feed to the TV and only supply video. Don’t disable the TV speakers and the error message is gone. It’s not ideal but better than the error message.
Manual suggests pressing funktion on remote for full second and pressing slowly – don’t. After failing to learn 5 times based on instruktions I tried pressing faster (under half second frequency) and it did it.
Sound quality is better than TV and fills the big room (300 sq.ft.) better than TV speakers. I don’t know about the surround effect but the more potent center speaker combined with (the very compact and convenient wireless) sub is good. Dont expect a powerfull home theater sound from it, it is only what it is, a small upgrade.

I researched this one and thought the SoundBar SDA IHT would do what I wanted, but, aside from the increased bass via the subwoofer, there’s really very little improvement in overall sound quality compared to the built-in speakers of my Samsung UN55B8000. No, really — it’s not $500’s worth of better sound. I tried mightily to configure and adjust it (as much as you can), but no luck. For this money, it had to wow me. It didn’t. Also had difficulty programming a separate IR remote, and the SoundBar would not release previously-saved codes. Again, for this much dough I expected better.

It came when they said it would and it works great. I like that it works with the TV and I don’t have to keep changing the input of the TV to make it work. Very easy to setup hardly need the directions but, they are very good.Polk Audio AM1805-A SurroundBar SDA Instant Home Theater (Black)

I researched this soundbar for quite some time (couple of months), and decided on the Polk am1805-a Instant Home Theater. I am very glad I did. It sounds awesome compared to the internal speakers on my Samsung 42″ plasma, and much better than other surround sound units I have heard. Once I decided on this I waited again for a price fluctuation ([...]), and was able to buy it new for around $[....] (Newegg). Overall I am extremely happy with the purchase. The wireless sub-woofer is a god send.
