This sound bar is awesome. Great sound and easy to setup. The subwoofer is wireless and can be placed any where in the same room. The price is great for the best sound compared to other units that are $200 to $300 more.
Great purchase. I will buy another one for my other tvs.

I bought the Boston Acoustics TVEEM20B after extensive research, and a hands on look at our local Best Buy. Compared to other options out there, it is a well built product.
The soundbar comes well packaged, albeit the vendor shipped the product in it’s original packaging, and didn’t even bother to tape the box closed… So after a quick inventory I started to put the system together. I have a Sony Bravia, the sound from the television is ok, hollow, but ok. I wanted the soundbar to help fill the room. The connection was simple, two ports (RCA I think) connected the unit to the television (the Sony Bravia has R/L audio out ports). Synching with the wireless subwoofer was simple, and other than verifying that the two units were on the same channel required no effort on my part.
After getting it all hooked up, I turned it on, and was disappointed to find that the soundbar really isn’t louder than my television speakers. I played with the volume on the soundbar, turned it all the way up, etc., but no, the soundbar speakers are really just on par or maybe slightly better than those of the television. Of course the soundbar and television work in conjunction with each other, so rather than 2 speakers playing at x decibel, I now have 4 playing at x decibel. In fairness, the subwoofer really helps improve the quality of the sound, making for a much richer fuller audio experience.
I’m an anti-Ipod guy, so I didn’t want anything with a built in IPOD dock. However, it would have been nice if the manufacturer had included an AUX input port for my MP3 player.
I’m in the service, so I’ve been looking for a system short of surround sound to minimize that aspect of pain associated with moving. I was just hoping for more I guess, with probably unrealistic expectations. I’d be happy with the system if I’d paid less that $100 for it, but at $258 (AUG2010), I wouldn’t make the same purchase again.

Our flat-panel TV has a beautiful picture, but its sound is lacking, both in quality and volume. The Boston Acoustics TVEE20B makes up for any deficiency in the TV; in fact, we now keep the volume at a much lower level, yet hear every word of whatever we’re watching. We couldn’t be more pleased.
